I've done some stuff lately...
I've been making slow steady progress in the past year. First I did all the usual fluid changes and made sure everyting is road worthy, then rewired it, all new ignition parts, rebuilt the carb, added a stereo, Wayne engine dress up parts, lowered it with new shocks, shaved handles and badges, added old T5 headlights, added the Fenton split manifold, and did the exhaust.
I've also done a bunch of other odds and ends along with collecting parts. In the near future is dropping the front end 3" to 4" more by flipping the axle. Also rebuilding Carter W1's for the vintage triple offy intake. I also got some used bias ply tires last week to run til I get new Firestones. I've got a pair of 6 lug chrome factory steel wheels and am looking for two more (holler if you can help!) to run with shannon cones. This truck was inspired by my dad twenty five years ago (I was 13) when I first saw pics of his truck from 1959. I'm not building a clone, more of a tribute. This is a '55 2nd series Chevy with the 261 engine and three speed trans. I'm doing everything as it would've been done back then. No modern parts, except the radio which will be hidden. Recently, but before the full exhaust, pavement angle is deceiving as to angle of stance... This is more accurate and demonstrates how desperately the front still needs to come down. N.O.S. kickstand pipes kick more than stands, lol... Nice butt... I've still got a long way to go. Enventually, there will be shiny paint and tuck'n'roll. I do it all with the help of friends, no work is farmed out. Thanks to them. And thanks to you guys willing to share info here. Love, terd ferguson

Here's a couple of pics with the new (old) tires...
Another pair of chrome six lug steelies and the front end down 3" to 4" will have the stance nailed down but good.

Love them whitewalls. They are going to be on my truck when I ever get it back on the road.

Nice truck! My wife would love to have a house like the one in the background. Where is that at?
