Vintage Vehical Servise Question
* First off i would like to say that I hope i am in the right area of the forum, as my requested information is about an 87. But if i am incorrect, please feel free to move it. *
1987 GMC Wrangler 305/Th400 Okay, i recieved my package in the mail and I read it like 20 times. I love all the info they send as well as all the RPO's. And now i can confirm that my truck is an all original, except the sport bumper (I INSTALLED and still have the step bumper also conteversy on my 305/TH400 combo). If i can ever figure out how to post a hard copy peice of paper to the internet, i will put it up here for you all to see. This is the part i fully don't understand: "Number imported for sale in canada (same model No. only) - 7,227 (2,229 with W/78; 449 with W/80)" This is the part i don't get, i don't know why its broken into 3 parts. My truck has both those options, btw. If someone could explain a little more that would be great. Oh... and does anybody know how many were made that year(1987) for something to compare to? Thanks for your time, Chris

Re: Vintage Vehical Servise Question
What George @ GM vintage is saying is that 7227 gmc trucks of that model were made by gm for Canadian sale;of those 7227 units 2229 came with rpo w78 ;440 with rpo w80(wrangler).
As Gm usa does not release model breakdown in their production figures we have no info on us units;a good estimate is 10x canadian sales. |
