Interesting start on a project but It looks like the roof is going to have to need a lot of work or replaced to be right. I'm working at stretching the cab for my truck in the redo that I have started and figure that we are going to have a lot of hours in the roof before we are done to get it right.

looks like a huge mess to me! be smart and pass on somebody's botched attempt at making a crewcab. scrap it quick my eyes are burning.

Is there any reason you couldn't start with a burb and end up with something smoother looking? Other than the extra cost, of course.

You will have a great trk. I have done this before......as far as the roof weld
bent 1" sq tubing under the roof before you start welding. The tubing will put the required crown in the roof.

Weld the roof with a series of spot welds.....even then you wil get some shrinkage, which the tubing will help hold everything in place,

Your cab looks great 806em55. I'm not too keen on the shortened box with the long cab though. But maybe that's the angle and tires that make it look out of proportion with the rest of the truck. Your roof is what the roof on the Craigslist should look like. Nice work there.

Thanks for the tip on using the tubing Don. I'll be using that trick in a couple of months when I attack my cab during the rebuild of my truck.
