I am going to lift my swb 4 inches. this will be a spring lift. The drivetrain is coming from a rusted out blazer and going onto my 71swb 2wd frame. since I will need to buy at a minimum a rear driveshaft so I get something better than oem? Didn't know how the u-joints will handle the extra angle. If that is the case and I should what should I get?

If you are going to do a suspension lift, you will either need to move the spring perches and reset the pinion angle or you will need to use a set of spacer blocks which will reset the pinion angle.

I don't like the spacer blocks because the pinion angle should be set at ride heights and how does a manufacturer know how much spring or how much weight is going to be on top of the axle?

The 12 Bolt Posi axles were a good piece.
Some problems with the Posi - but not a lot...

10-4, so you are talking cut the perches loose, rotate the the 12 bolt so the driveshaft flange lines up with the transfercase, then reweld?

The frame on the Blazer is shorter than a SWB frame. You will need to do some work with the body/cab mounts too.

I am sure you know this, but just wanted to throw it out there just in case. I would hate to have you go to all that work just to find it out the hard way.

not using the blazer frame just the drivetrain minus the driveshafts. all the components will go on my truck swb frame.

any disagreement to the the though of using stock swb truck driveshafts and reorienting the angle of the differentials?

The driveshaft is probably too short.... buy a new set of perches from DIY4x or ballistic fab and set up the axle again... I have a 72 Blazer with a 4" lift but it has blocks in the rear... The degree of angle needs to be set at ride height... Dont quote me but the rear is 3* up and when the motor is 3* down... you could alsways find a longer shaft and have it cut down locally... it would be cheaper then have a new one build from scratch....
