Stock Steelies
Is there a stock steel wheel that will fit with a disc brake conversion and how hard are they to find? I'm going more the shop truck look and my stock 15's won't fit? Is there a 16 or 17 that will? Thanks.

Re: Stock Steelies
15" 73-87 stock 5-lug steel wheels will work.
15" 73-87 stock 4x4 6-lug steel wheels will work. The only 15's that won't work are the 15x6.5 6-lug wheels from the pre-'71 trucks.

Re: Stock Steelies
The 88-98 trucks had a 6-lug 16" steel wheel,... but it doesn't accept a hubcap. You can only use the plastic centercaps with the plastic lug nut covers. Plus I don't think the offset is correct for the older trucks.

Re: Stock Steelies
I looked at their website, but didn't gather much from it. Do you mind me asking how much they were?
Your truck looks awesome btw.

Re: Stock Steelies
16" 6 lug old style (pre-88) wheels definitely exist, as they were a factory option. 17" I'm not sure about.

Re: Stock Steelies
I bought mine thru Summit after checking them out on Wheel Vintiques website- I looked at my receipt, the wheels were $66 each, total of $275 shipped.

Re: Stock Steelies
There is a guy on here running 17in steelies from a latemodel toyota fj. They look pretty cool. Some of the late model tahoes have a 6 lug steel wheel as a spare. I am not sure on the backspacing.
