How far off center are the front wheels?
Hey guys,
I was thinking about having my front control arms cut just after the ball joints and then moved forward, welded then boxed. But how far off center are they exactly? I want to get 22s but they look funny when they are not centered in the front. |

Personally I would move the entire crossmember before cutting on the control arms themselves.

Re: How far off center are the front wheels?
Wouldnt that be more work in the long run? I have a friend who owns a fabrication shop so I can have it done for relatively cheap, as well as powder coating. And if it didn't work out I could just get some stock ones and throw those on.

Re: How far off center are the front wheels?
I would say about 1"-1.5" would do it.
It would be nice to help out the caster while you are at it. I'm not sure how your steering components would be affected. You might contact Nathan Porter and get his opinion on how much to move them. He seems to have it figured out.

Ya I will shoot him an email, I dont think the steering would be affected to much. I noticed when I have the tie rod off the spindle there is a ton of play and you can move it around alot, plus they are adjustable so if it needed to be longer you could do it.
