Low hump to high hump question
I am putting a low hump cab onto a 4x4 frame,I have the high hump cover but can't remember how big of a hole I need to cut out.It looks like all I need is a small hole for the shift lever, but I think it had a much bigger hole cut out when I removed the other cab. Thanks for your help.

When I changed my cabs(I rolled the truck) I put a low hump(2wd)onto my 4x4. On the low hump cab, you can see what looks to be a template that would be cut out at the factory and the high hump would be bolted on(if the cab was going on a 4x4 chassis).
All i did is cut out along this template. You'll have to drill new holes to fasten the high hump too. I just used self tapping screws instead of the original bolts. I just used an agle grinder, but a plasma cutter would probably be quicker and easier btw, i cut out the entire hole, because i was afraid if i cut a hole just big enough, i might get water coming in the hole and running into the cab under the high hump....do you know what i mean?? jason ![]() |
