Help me get it Started

I've got a '78 carb'd w/ electronic ignition but it has sat too long and won't fire. Battery is good, turns over good, no fire.

Haven't used anything yet, so my first instinct is to go get some ether/starter fluid.

Any better tips?

gotta break it down to the 2 essentials.
gas and spark... cant start without both.
- figure out which one you dont have and start chasing from there before throwing any parts at it...

Re: Help me get it Started

buy a spark tester. see that you are getting spark to all cylinders replace the cap and rotor. make sure the gas is fresh and prime the engine also check to see if your in time.
