The fans are now operational off the Hayden relay/thermo controller. Works great! They are very quiet.
I also installed yesterday the chrome cover that goes over the A/C unit... IF you ask me that is a killer addition...much better than the dull black sticker covered appearance from before. I have many plans for more chrome too. I added my chrome alt bracket and the mounting plate and am soon to have the pullies chromed as well as all mounting brackets and such and getting a chrome water pump as well as a set of Bowtie head chrome Bolts. They are a nice touch. More to come.....

FINALLY!!!!hehe. hey you know i had thought of putting mine there and doing away with the inside handle but then i thought how the hell will i get out. but i am thinking going this route: doing away with the inside handles but running a safety pull to the latches mounted under the dash somewhere. since I have some door panels that are from a 89 burb and they have four window switches on the drivers panel, then i would have the lock switch, then four more switches which would be for:
one to control drivers window one to control passenger window one to pop drivers door open one to pop passenger door open on the passenger side door there would be no switches or handles as so no escape would be possible unless i wanted to drop someone of in a hurry. then i could pop the door and give'em a little shove, hehe. |

I have nothing at all on my inner doors. Just tweed. THe buttons are located in my console.
I know I did a few things today. Still need to get some things ..but it will happen a little faster now..well once I get moved. Now I need to talk my dad into letting me park my truck in the garage. The fans were 70 each Haydens and the controller was 30..since its adjustable..the non adjustables are 15. That above pic was before I was done.. I have hidden all the wires now. I am going to buy a new 4 core radiator soon as well.

I've got a question. Where did you get the serpentine belt setup for the alternator? I see that it's not a stock V-belt. The A/C compressor and the powersteering pump seem to be a V-belt.

Yeah I have the part #'s....I will go get them real quick...
Hayden HDN3690 Elec fans 64.99 each. Hayden HDN3647 Fan control ..you might have to pay a smidge more since I get good deals but they might work with you too. So it cost me $175 total. You will need an extra inline fuse kit...2 bucks. and some butt connectors and extra wire if you choose to hide evertything like i did. GMan....In 86...they started to intermix the two systems so the 86-87's and im sure the burbans have the combo of serp and vbelt combo.

Dave, did you buy those fans online or at a local store?
Nevermind, I see that Pep Boys carries them. Great looking set-up.
