Re: SS wheels

i dont have any pics but i have had them on my truck. they werent wide enough for me, but they did look cool from the side. still with 295-50's all around they were sunken in the fenderwell too much. if i would have run a 1.5" spacer out back it would have lookedalot better imo. prolly a 3/4" spacer up front. and the centercaps, if you want to run them you have to buy some aftermarket lugnuts for the plastic caps to screw onto. just google them, they rent hard to find.

Re: SS wheels

alright thanks. I am hoping to get the wheels for around 100 bucks with 3 good tires on them, but the tires are skinny. so i am thinking 295 50 would be good

Re: SS wheels

I am running these with the red chevy logo and I love them. I converted my studs up front to 14mm but found the special lug nuts for out back, just have to watch the dust caps on the front. I got the rear lug nuts (1/2-20) at the barrie fle market from the "lugnutking", he has pretty much everything. He is located in crystal beach ontario canada and his email is wayne@lugnutking.ca and www.lugnutking.ca is his site. Last but not least sice we all love pictures here is mine.

Re: SS wheels

I went to my local auto parts store and bought a handful of 14mm studs. They press right into the rotors, no mods needed. The rear on the other hand I needed the special lug nuts because the hole in the rear flange is too small. If I had the time to get them reamed out I would.

Cool
Do you have a part number or application?
Maybe 88-up 1/2 ton truck?
Thanks!
I swapped in a newer rear diff with the 14mm studs and I would like to change the front to match.

Re: SS wheels

I just asked for the studs from a 92 chevy pickup cause that is what the rims came off of. are the newer rear ends the same width with same mounting locations ? I have heard yes and no.

Re: SS wheels

Thanks for the info.

And no, the newer diffs are a bit wider and the spring perches are way different.
I cut off all the newer stuff, and welded on new perches and moved the shock mounts.

Re: SS wheels

So the 92 stud knurl diameter was the same as your 80's truck?
