Those wheels look really good on your truck.

Re: what did you get done 11/14/2010 edition

I brought home my next project Saturday morning, 1950 Chevy PU. Spent the afternoon building a temporary cart to hold the cab and allow me to easily move it around in the garage. The rest of the truck is tucked between my garage and storage shed. Hey, as long as the wife can't see it from the kitchen window all is well.

Picked up an S-10 chassis (already setup for bags) and a transmission this morning. I might be driving this '50 sooner than I thought.

How many times have you told someone to "Give me a call if I can help"? One of my good friends said that to me Friday afternoon, in one of the following pictures I'm giving him that call. LOL. He brought a truck load of old Hot Rodders to help get the trailer unloaded.

Um, no. LOL. It has the typical rust on the inner and outer cowl panels and the floor needs work. But! The guy I bought it from had already laid out nearly 700.00 for all the patch panels. I literally have every panel I need brand new in the box. New back window, new door rubber, new glass rubber, and a clean title. Plus, I don't have the hassle of dis-assembly!

The guy lost his butt on this one but I told him not to worry, I'll lose mine when I sell it. LOL.

Re: what did you get done 11/14/2010 edition

Complete front end rebuild on dad's 84, 4 new tie rods, sleeves, 3 ball joints, and the other was in the new upper control arm for the driver's side. Got it all off, cleaned up, new stuff put on and painted. Next up is oil change, maybe front brake hose change, clean the rotors off and put the pads and calipers back on it. Still have to put one grease fitting in and grease everything, then test drive, and alignment shop to make sure it get set exactly where it needs to be.

Re: what did you get done 11/14/2010 edition

Spent most of the day cleaning up the garage where we're gonna paint the truck. Got a few things done to the truck itself. So no paint this weekend, everything was kinda out of place, had to look for everything when we started to do things, but it's getting there

Sold my '77...purchased a Suburban...of the Mopar variety. Now I have a place for the Desoto Hemi I picked up a few years ago.

Also, shoveled some heavy snow, lots of it.

I have spent the last 3 weeks moving, Friday we closed on the sale of our house. I spent the weekend getting the last of the stuff out of my shop...I can officially say as of today "all my stuff is out, and the house is sold!"

Re: what did you get done 11/14/2010 edition

I spent the week / weekend parts gathering for my 74 Jimmy.
Got some used quarters and a tailgate.
Found a smoking deal on floor pans and rockers.

Hopefully will have all the metal work done before christmas...

Thanks! I have some neat plans for it. Can't wait to get it "finished', and take the entire family of five for a nice little road trip. Not to mention, now I can attend Back to the 50's as a participant vs a spectator.
