Re: dash speakers
i'm not sure if it differed from 85 to 86, but mine were 4x6 in the dash and 4x10 behind the seat @cab corners. i replaced with kicker ds460 for the dash and ks4100 for the cab corners. sound pretty good.

Re: dash speakers
watch for magnet size on the driver dash speaker. the ones i have are pretty big and i ran into issues reinstalling the gauges becasue i had to mount them from the bottom. i also stuck 4" 2-ways in mine

Re: dash speakers
Just ditch them and get 6x9 rear brackets from Jeff (bigblock73),

Re: dash speakers
I put a set of 5 1/4 seperates in the dash of my 87; the two woofers in the center hole, and the tweeters in the outboard holes. Worked out pretty well.

Re: dash speakers
I havent been able to get the thought of having 6x9's behind my seat since you mentioned these brackets... how do i get intouch with (bigblock73 ) to get some more info on this..... I bet a pair of 6x9's would retire my 4x10's !!!
