Frame identification
Is there any way to identify the year of a frame? Mine is in the 67-72 year group.
The cab belongs to a 1969 GMC 2500, but it's a shortbed frame and I don't believe they made shortbed 2500s. Any help is appreciated!

Re: Frame identification
There are no's stamped on the frame rail. example 1zxxxxx would be a 1971 truck from the fremont plant with the remaining no's a partial run of the SN. I dont think the frame no's are going to identify the frame as a c10 or c20. That would be on the vin or spid label.

Re: Frame identification
Awesome, thanx!
Wait, do you know a place off the top of your head where I can look to decode the number?
