Blazer fender on a SWB fleet?
I've been searching on here but haven't found what I'm looking for. I have a 72 SWB fleetside and a 72 Blazer parts truck. My fleetside's drivers bedside is mangled all around the taillight and part way to the fender opening. The blazer's fender is nearly perfect. Sooo, I started thinking, what if I cut the outer skin of the fleetside fender from the center of the wheelwell back and replaced it with the section from the balzer. I could also swap the blazer tank and filler assembly at the same time and solve two issues at once. I'm sure this has been done but I haven't found any links. Any reason to think it won't work?

Re: Blazer fender on a SWB fleet?
As long as you're comfortable cutting and welding the sheet metal I say go for it.

Any braces or structures between the inner and outer bed walls that I want to look out for, or aim for?

Re: Blazer fender on a SWB fleet?
I'd sell that blazer quarter and buy a long bed to cut up. Blazer stuff doesn't grow on trees.
