Newer OEM wheels on our 60-66's........
I saw a thread the other day that was posting newer OEM wheels, like the Silverado LTZ wheels, and with adapters, someone put them on our trucks. Can anyone find that thread again or post pictures of newer Silverado's and Sierra's wheels on our trucks. The LTZ wheels are really growing on me!

Here are a few more threads that discuss later wheels, spacers or lug nut concerns:

In case your wondering, these wheels are the stock wheels off of a 2000 Silverado. Gives the truck some more POP! |

Re: Newer OEM wheels on our 60-66's........
I was going to run Escalade wheels on my '69 because they are cheap and available. There are a few pictures I have of other trucks, just used a spacer for them. I like the 17" Escalade wheels.

Re: Newer OEM wheels on our 60-66's........
Personally I don't like the look of the Escalade wheels, looks too plain. I'm more a muscle car......5 spoke.......torq thrust type of guy. These wheels were only $250 with the 10 ply tires. Make sure to verify backspacing, but with the 2000 Silverado wheels, I had to run a 2" spacer for the rear, and 1.5" up front. I could have went out to 2.5" in the rear, but they didn't offer it. Tires for the Silverado were considerably larger than stock, but fit just fine with those spacers.

Re: Newer OEM wheels on our 60-66's........
Some of the new Caddy wheels, and Denali wheels are sick! I was really wanting some new SS Silverado wheels, but these were at the right price. It was pretty easy to figure out what spacers I needed after I bought the wheels. So I would to that first, then jack up your car, take off your wheel, and put the new wheel up there, and then play with how far out you need/want it.

Re: Newer OEM wheels on our 60-66's........
Yes, yes it is.
I'm not running 6 lugs on the '66, my '69 I left 6 lug when I swapped the front to disc. But this one will be all 5x5. Now if only the DTS was 5x5 lugs I would love to rock these, just like this. But I'm going old school on the wheels. <edit> looks like there are 5x5 to 5x115 adapter. Might have to go that route.

Re: Newer OEM wheels on our 60-66's........
Total hijack, but now I'm torn with the idea of using a set of wheel adapters and run these bad boys.
