Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
I have only this power steering bracket for a 6 cyl setup. This is roughly a 67-75 bracket. Perhaps you have a need for this and have the other brackets? This is the key bracket and the others could be fabbed up.
No longer for sale.

Brad, do you have a picture of one that has been installed?

Re: Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
These pics are courtesy of someone else on the board that recently had a PS bracket thread-not sure who. Anyway....
Oddly enough, I couldn't find any other ones on my computer. I'll have to look some more....

Re: Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
After looking at these pics again, my bracket is 1 of 3 needed and it would be difficult to fab up the other 2 brackets exactly like the stock ones. Having said that, I was considering using this bracket and welding up a few pieces to make it fit on my Camaro but found a complete stock setup. If someone needs this particular piece, I'm dropping the price to $50 shipped. I would rather have it go to someone that can use it instead of sitting on my shelf.

do you know if you can by the power steering lines at the local parts house or are they an oddity?

Re: Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
Definitely interested Brad... since you've been through this before, can you look at the picture below and tell me if these are the 'other' brackets someone would need?
These inlines can be confusing...

Re: Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
Nate,
those brackets look similar to what you'd need but slightly different. I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be surprised if those are for am integrated manifold inline. I can't say for sure. The crazy thing about the GM inlines is that they had about 5,432 different styles of PS setups and they all did the EXACT same thing! I'm still discovering ones I've never seen before. Sorry I can't give you a better answer. Hopefully someone else can.

Re: Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
Yep, definitely different set-ups. I have two (one from a engine with a/c and one without) and they are different. That's a pic of my 250 above (without a/c). Anyway, I think the below pic is of the complete set-up that Nate is asking about. It also looks like the outer bracket in Nate's pic has been cut.

I'm probably guessing wrong but does the bracket pictured below the pump attached to the block, followed by the bracket to the left of the pump, followed by the pump itself correct? Why does your pump reservoir look different than mine...? Brad, I don't mean to deter from your FS thread; these inlines have always confused me. Back to business. bttt...

Re: Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
Sorry if I confused you, but my set-up is the one mounted in the 4th post. The circled area in the the below pic that you posted is what doesn't look right to me. The bracket that Brad has is the saddle portion for a set-up like mine. Below is another picture that I found, which I think shows the piece that you are missing. You're right though, they are really confusing. I was fortunate to find my set-up complete on an engine.

Re: Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
So the long bracket circled in the post above (2nd pic) should be connected to the circled bracket (1st pic)? Erh... these stupid things!

Re: Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
I'm not sure what the long one in the first pic attaches to , but I think the one circled in the 2nd pic is the alternator adjustment bracket. The set-ups with the saddle have the alternator adjustment built in. I think this diagram might help. I think it also shows that I was wrong with saying your bracket had been cut. It would appear that your set-up might be off of a 63 230, which should still work once you get it figured out.

Thanks for the diagram as it will help me figure this thing out. You wouldn't consider posting a picture of the 67-72 setup, if you have one, would you? Maybe we can move this to the 67-72 MB so we can get out of Brad's FS thread.

Re: Inline L6 194/230/250 Power steering bracket
I've got some pictures of both of mine, but I'll have to sit down and go through the last two years of pictures to find them. My a/c set-up is freshly painted in pieces, so I could get some new ones of that one. But mine are from '72 & '74 respectfully....courteous of a couple of Nova's
If nothing else, Brad is getting a lot of bumps But in all seriousness, sorry Brad!
