Picture request?

I'm in the process of mounting up the front end sheetmetal to my 64, was wondering if anyone can post a picture of the radiator support from the inside, to show where the horn, voltage regulator mount up?

Also does anybody use any other manuals other the the 60-66 Factory Assembly manual? I just ordered one but it looks like it doesnt have instructions on repair. Is there also a more repair oriented manual thats recommended?

What you really want is the Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual. That's the manual GM published for factory defined repairs. These are also now available ion CD:

With the 64 supplement you will also need the early full manual.


In addition, I’ve always relied on the good old “Motor’s Manual”. I’ve been using the 1960 version since about 1962. Here’s a link to one on eBay just to show what it looks like.

These are just representative examples of what’s available. For many years these were the “Bible” of automotive repair. Chilton’s came along later (at least I never saw one until the late 60’s), and some editions are very helpful. In my experience Hayne’s manuals by comparison are not worth the cost of printing them.
