New to the boards
Hi all. My name is Andrew. I'm currently working on a 69 C20 LongStep and a 73 Honda CB500. On my truck I have rebuilt the carb, put in new spark plugs, new ignition coil, flushed all the fluids, put in an Optima yellow top, sanded every inch of the outside to get rid of 10 years worth of surface rust, fixed the heater controls (they were hanging down inside the dash and disconnected), removed some ungodly thick bondo, lots and lots of cleaning (she sat under a tree for about 10 years), and some other bits here and there. My bike has rebuilt carbs, minimal wiring harness, relocated battery, clubman bars, bar end mirrors, deleted tach, and custom pipes. My six year old son will inevitably inherit both, so he helps with all the work. We live in Spokane WA. This is my 2nd 60's C20. My first was a 66 with 44000 original miles on it, my current only has 76000. I was in the begining stages of restoring it when my exwife sold it. I took a weekend trip and came back to no more truck. It took me 3 years to find another c20 project that I could afford. I bought my new baby for $650 two months ago. She's got a good strong running 250 and granny 4 speed. We're always up for people to trade parts with, talk shop, or even grab a beer and some wings on occasion. So, if you're in the greater Spokane area and feel like putting together a g2g, hit me up. I'll post pics of the build at some point, as I go. We'll be lowering it, putting in a Blazer gas tank, and replacing the wood in the bed as our next steps.

Sounds like a great project.

Re: New to the boards
I went by the lumber yard today and priced my new oak planks. $177.30 for my new bad. Good thing it's Christmas and I've got a ton of extra money lying around.
