Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
Thanks Randy!
Hi Rick, they all appear very solid with no dents. I can pull the hoses off to check the ends for corrosion if you'd like. Thanks, Sharpie Last edited by sharpie1972; 12-27-2010 at 12:47 AM. |

Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
What years/engines did these go to? I have a 70 with a 350 that doesn't have one.

Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
Dennis, I'd take one if you have one left as long as no corrosion or dents. Let me know. Thanks, Jeff.

Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
Hi Jeff, I'm going to post pics of the 2 I have left. Orange-orange has first shot at the 2 remaining. Hoses are pulled so you can see the amount of corrosion on the ends. Thanks, Sharpie

Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
Hello sharpie, checking back in again on the upper tubes. I see another member has asked for one of the tubes so as not to be a "tube hoarder" when someone else needs one it will be ok with me if I just get one.... I see another member asked for the hoses from one ...and that to will be ok too... selling these to the next in line is fine with me providing I get one complete hose as shown and the tower clamps from the other. There were 5 tower clamps shown. I hope that will satisfy everyone. Thanks Orange-orange

Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
Last 2 I have. Pulled the hoses. They are solid with the usual amount of corrosion under hoses. I have one original GM hose with a tower clamp left. Thanks, Sharpie

Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
I'll pass on these, I wanted the original ones pictured. In your pm you stated I should be a member, would that have made you honor the code of selling before you di-sected the remaining items for the next in line buyer. I restore these trucks.

Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
Not quite following your line here. I sold 2 complete units and these are what I have left. I pulled the hoses to check for corrosion. No disection, just honest parts sales! Sellers code states that you need to post your desire to buy in the thread. Sorry you didn't get the parts you wanted, but we all restore trucks on here just like you! Sharpie

Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
BTW here is the PM I responded to stating that it might be a good idea to subscribe and post a WTB ad. Sharpie
"Hello sharpie1972, I have followed alot of your replys and need help with a unusual part. It is part # 1846736 called a plate (by description) and is # 18 in the parts book 2.183 and drawings on page 9-12p It is simply a flat plate that the coil&air cleaner support bolt thru when a 6 cylinder has A/C. Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
No, I said I would take the 2 that were unsold and as pictured 2 had the tower clamps. You said you would get back to me if the two remaining had the tower clamps. You then answered two other potential buyers and dis-assembled the original items pictured after I said I would take them. You did not ever answer me, just them. You got back to them but not me and even so I offered they could have the items they asked for in the listing. You then listed pictures that showed 4 wheel drive upper radiator hoses dis-assembled---different from the original listing. I have not joined this board as a member, but read its members listings. I do not believe you have followed this boards rules of conduct.

Re: 4x4 upper radiator steel tubes
Dennis, not sure on the final outcome of you sale here. If there is one left I would take it if it has no dents and you figure I can media blast it and powder coat to very good condition. I would require the 2 rubber ends. Let me know either way. Thanks again, Jeff.
