insurance company
is not too bright..... been fighting with them what a C35 GMC pick up is.
They are trying to list it as a G35 (a Van?)

hehe! You're right. This is more of a valuation software/computer/market vehicle availability thing. 80's Duallies aren't exactly a dime a dozen in any markets around the U.S.

If they go by the vin that should tell them the model number etc. Sometimes they will ask for a photo of the truck and a photo of the VIN to prove what it is

Insurance company's seem to get pretty weird when it comes to these kinds of things. especially when it has to do with "heavy duty" vehicles. They always assume that it's going to be used commercially or they just don't know what to classify the vehicle as.
