TILT COLUMN
Has anyone installed a later model column from a 70's or 80's truck in a 67-72?
If so ,what is involved in grafting it in. Like, turn signals, starter switch& so on. I have one from a 81 El Camino laying around since all the tilt's for our trucks are so expensive I thouht I might as well try it.

It probably can be done if you don't mind the extra ignition key slot in the side of the column

I had one in the 67 for a while. Was gonna shave the ign. off but found a van tilt instead. Have seen it done several times, I think it looks pretty good if done right.

Yup, you want one out of a Chev van. No key on the column.
I am not the guy to ask how to do it though. My buddy put one into his '65 and it worked great. It did take a bit of modifiying, but all-in-all it wan't too bad, and looks great! Reid ------------------ Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada
