Re: What to do trans prob

86 people read this and no one has anything to offer for help?

I wouldn't bother trusting an auto trans that has been sitting for 20 years. If you just wanna try to get it running again maybe find a good used trans and clean it up a little and install that. Then if you want maybe have the 350 rebuilt but the 205 should be fine without a rebuild. I have never had to rebuild a 205 or had one break.

This was posted the 17th so maybe you have already figured something out.

I think I'd hunt up a used TH400 that will mate to your T-case and run with it. Maybe have it rebuilt, mine was only $750 to rebuild. Its a little stouter trans and they are only a couple hundred bucks for a good used one. Make sure you get one that was recently pulled, preferably one you can see run and shift then pull it yourself or let them.

Not to shabby! I wish I could pick one up that cheap! I'd do a swap in mine in a heartbeat!
