looky what i found
while hunting for a pair of axles (that i have still not found yet) i came across this steering gear. it is a saginaw power box but it has a unique mount on it. this looks like it would be perfect for mounting to a flat frame anything. for the life of me i don't remember what it came off of. anybody ever see one of these before?

Re: looky what i found
I haven't seen a mounting plate like that before. Judging by the look of the pitman arm, this came off of a 4x4. The Saginaw boxes were also used on Dodges, and I think Internationals. The ones I've seen on Dodges used a mounting bracket that turned the box 90 degrees so that the pitman swung in a verticle plane.

Re: looky what i found
EUREKA! whatever that means. i remember now! about eight years ago before i went to afghanistan i had a customer that needed a clutch in his log truck & he was broke so i traded the job for his wrecked '91 dodge 3/4 ton 4x4. what made the trade good was the 5.9 cummins. and then i traded the axles & trans & transfer for four 35" bfg mud terrains on aluminum rims AND a 64-5-6 short step bed with PERFECT FENDERS! as soon as you said "dodge" it all came back! you handy to have around boy!
