Lightbulb 89 up burb\blazer guys, a question please.

I am doing a ls swap on my 87 crew using the Dash cluster out of an R series burb. The cluster uses the "pc" type of bulb that is a one piece design. The cluster in my 87 uses a fiber optic cable to light the ash tray, the holder for the bulb and cable doesn't fit in the new cluster. How is the ash tray lit in your trucks? thanks Jay

Re: 89 up burb\blazer guys, a question please.

in my wifes 89 cavalier i changed the cluster lights using older (seperate)style bulbs and sockets from the one piece (bulbs soldered into socket)
not sure if thats a go for you,if so maybe socket with the fibre will work in the heater light too?
