Bad DOD/AFM connector...What to do???

The AFM connector in the pics below is broken and I am wonering what the best course of action is. I am putting the motor in a 1967 C10 pickup and I had the ECM programmed by Speartech. I am getting a P3401, P3425, and P3441, so I am trying to decide if I should just have my ECM reflashed to eliminate the DOD/AFM, or if I should replace this connector and keep the DOD. If I do replace it, what is involved (is this a 2 piece plug that requires the valley cover to be removed)? If I don't keep it, is there any kind of plug to fill the hole in the valley cover? Please someone help. I posted this on LS1 Tech also, but I never get many responses on there.

I think you're going to need to post that kind of question at LS1tech.com or performancettrucks.net. I'd get rid of it personally (I did with my motors VVT)...but thats just me. You may be after the extra mpg?

I did post it on LS1 Tech, but I have never got a response to anything on that sight. If I do eliminate it, what can I plug that hole in the valley cover with?

I'm sure you could get the connector right from GM, They are not cheap, but could be easier & cheaper than a reflash

I was just hoping to not have to take my motor all apart, since I just got it installed. I believe I would have to take off the intake and valley cover to install it.

if you're going stock or near stock efi....I'll bet you wouldn't want to eliminate it.

Re: Bad DOD/AFM connector...What to do???

I wouldn't mind eliminating the DOD, but I just wonder if there are parts of that connector left inside the motor, so I think that I may have no choice but to pull the intake and valley cover. BUMMER!!!

Maybe I'll try tomorrow, but the only options I see are to replace the connector or delete the DOD. Thanks for all of the responses. This is why I love this forum.
