Near Mint Olive Steering Wheel

Ok guys and gals, don't wanna do this, but could use funds for other adventures and I really don't see myself ever putting it on, so I'm trying to make myself liquidate un-used treasures. This is a near mint olive steering wheel. It has very slight grain loss on rim and a small spot around horn button where someone pryed off horn button. I am sure it would sand and polish out, I just was not worried about it. It has no cracks, no hair-line cracks, no evidence of cracks to come, no scratches or gouges or chunks gone, it's fantastic. I gave the world for it, so i'm just trying to recoup what I gave. Price is firm as it really won't hurt my feelings if I keep it. This is the only pic I have for now and it's in storage at my work so it will be monday if anyone wants better pics. Thanks in advance for your interest. Thanks!!

Frank

$350 shipped and insured

Thumbs up Re: Near Mint Olive Steering Wheel

i've parted a lot of 67-72s over the years and looked at countless others in bone yards and have never seen a wheel, other than black, in that nice of condition. WOW.TTT for you.

I knew you were looking for one, i've chatted with you before, but knew you weren't looking to spend quite this much. I didn't want to either, but got caught in a moment of weakness I'd love for it to go to a good home, but can't take a beating on it to do it. I think you would be hard pressed to find another one like it though.

Re: Near Mint Olive Steering Wheel

I'd like to sweeten the deal a bit. With 72highlanders's permission I'm offering up a very nice matching horn cap that I've been saving back for just this wheel. I'd like to send it to the new owner of this rare wheel free of charge. Sharpie

As I said in pm Sharpie, what an awesome jesture. He asked before jumping on my thread and is offering up free goods. I'm on quite a few forums, but none compare to this one. Thanks again brother!!

It was blue, but faded away. I would touch up the bowtie with blue and shoot the cap with a coat of clear to match the shine of the wheel if it was me. Sharpie

Good luck with the sale! I have NOS olive wheel that I wouldn't take near what you are asking for yours. I told a guy that was trying to talk me out of mine about yours. Maybe he will get in touch with you.
