I finally won on e-bay!
I swear this is the first time I feel I finally got a deal on ebay. Been wanting one of these for the 85 C-30 for some time.
Saw this "new in the box" dash bezel a few days ago and knew it was not for an 81-83 as advertised. Instead it works perfectly for an 84-87 w/out ac. Checked LMC for their price of $149 and to confirm it would work for my 85 c-30. Anyway, I went ahead and placed a bid and let it alone thinking the price would sky-rocket in the last few minutes before it closed. Went to work and forgot about it. Now I find out I actually won on a low bid! WOW! Usually I always get out-bid. Paid $31 plus $17 to ship. Not bad for $48. Not sure about the lack of the storage tray. Thought it was molded into my old one, but I could be wrong. Pondering putting in my aftermarket temp gauge in there with a stainless plate. Another project when it warms up. Mark

Re: I finally won on e-bay!
I have an 87 and the top opening on mine is for a vent and have always thpught it was for a\c equipped trucks but could be wrong. But still a good deal I don't feel like i ever get a deal when it comes to auto parts either.

Re: I finally won on e-bay!
That looks like a nice score! Maybe there wasn't as much competition since most trucks seem to have the vents for A/C.
I have had some good luck on Ebay. One time I bought a running Honda Trx 90 four wheeler for my son for $460. Just like you I bid on it and forgot about it, thinking for sure I would lose. Checked back later and I had one! Last edited by Greenlee; 01-07-2011 at 07:28 PM. |

Re: I finally won on e-bay!
Mark, I think the Non-a/c storage pocket screws into the top right hole just like a vent would for a/c. I "Think". Good score!

Re: I finally won on e-bay!
Non AC trucks have a cubby hole in the top corner, and no vent hole in the lower left. Jay

Re: I finally won on e-bay!
Nice score bro!!! 81'-87' non a/c trucks have the cubby hole as you say but it is molded into the bezel itself. You can get your hands on a factory vent, you can make your own cubby by pulling out the vent and glueing a piece of plastic on the back of the housing. Problem solved.

Re: I finally won on e-bay!
Thanks all, it'll definitely be a change over what I have.
Saw a picture once where someone did a neat job two-toning with paint on one of these. Was thinking about painting this one but winter set in and now a new one is on it's way so doubt I'll bother with the idea of painting the old one. Mark

Re: I finally won on e-bay!
Awesome deal! The cubby just screws on with a few coarse thread screws, You should be able to switch yours over.
