Is something missing here....
I've been looking at my 66 chevy stepside a little closer now that we've gotten all moved and I noticed the taillights don't appear to be in the correct spot. and I'm not sure exactly where the correct taillights would mount originally, unless there's a bracket they mount to that's missing....
Most stepside trucks I've been checking out on here have either custom taillights, or the picture isn't close enough to that area to tell if I'm missing something or not. I guess I could just leave the ones on it that are already there, but if I'm going to keep the stepside bed on it I might as well have the correct taillights. This is just a small detail compared to the many other things that are going to get done to this truck. just a little puzzled on this one. thanks! |

Yea, you're missing the bracket. Here's a pic of what you need on this page....

Re: Is something missing here....
Here’s another picture of the bracket, and a link to Chevy Duty where I buy most of my stuff:
In a normal setup the bracket bolts on to the stake pocket where indicated: http://www.classicparts.com/1955-66-...ctinfo/49-515/ And here's what mine looked like when they were stock/original: Last edited by markeb01; 01-14-2011 at 04:55 PM. |
