Re: wheel help

Just look for small holes in between the lug holes. Those are for the screws that retain the center caps, but yes those are six lug ralleys

Re: wheel help

yep - that ebay # didn't work for me either. Here's a few things for you to check out -

Attached is a picture of the caps that work for those wheels.

Here's an ebay link to some that are being sold. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/66-69...Q5fAccessories

I have purchased from this guy on ebay before - you have to communicate via phone, but he was an honest guy and the caps showed up on time and undamaged. He has some different options for center emblem also, but the ones in the pic are correct.

Note that original (metal) and repops (plastic) are available. Metal ones getting hard to find (for me anyway). Personally, I like the plastic ones - they lok great, attach well, and I don't get too pissed when they get stolen. Anyway, make sure to read the details before buying.

As for rings, I'd ask the same guy youbuy the caps from - they usually seem to have them also.

Good luck. Nice wheels - I think the 70's truck rally is about the best looking wheel on any chevy truck. For me, it's those or steelies and not much else.

Good luck.

Re: wheel help

Jocko his link worked for me, they are not the same rims in his pic, the ones in his pic look to be 15`s, he`ll need to check, the ones in his ebay link are 16.5 ( positive offset ) late model GM rally.

Re: wheel help

copy Rich - yep, concur that srvblue's wheels are 15 inchers.

here's a pic of the ones I used to have - 15 inch and with the same caps I listed above (except the po installed a spinner instead of the emblem).

Re: wheel help

thanks Rich - much appreciated. I sold the spinners on the truck, kept the metal rally caps though and added the bowtie emblem just like yours. My metal caps were pretty pitted, so I got a cheapie set of plastic ones and really liked them - they look great, are light and stay on pretty solid.

I've since stuffed all of the above in the garage and gone to the original steelies. Got them pc'ed white and added a set of imp poverty caps. Not sure why I really like this combo, but I do. Saw an old beat up 65 short wide at carlisle last year with the imp caps and fell in love. Took me a year to find a set to stick on. Here they are (at the california "arrival")

Yep, a little warmer than NY and MD. But still rainin a lot lately. I'm on the west side of the sierras, the truck's on the east side. Yes, I'm having "separation anxiety". We'll be reunited in a few months (when I move again...)
