New guy from Texas here
Hello everyone,
Just greeting the board as a whole. I am of course new to this forum but not forums in general. I've done some minor trolling for info and getting at least a superficial feel for the group that resides here. The crowd seem pretty mild which is a plus but we'll see what surfaces. As far as I go I just recently acquired a 65 gmc c/10 that I will be making into a shop truck, and I am going with the complete old school feel to it. 3'' white walls, two tone paint, re-doing the wood, but I'll get to it when I get to it.. She has a 350/th350 and I am re-wiring the alternator, went through the burnt harness and rewired the starter wiring, and will be going through the rest of the wiring hopefully upgrading the fusebox and all that jazz. The body looks good, there is some light rust on the truck in the usual spots I plan to address as second priority. She should have the headlight relays added by tomorrow and probably HID's before the end of the week....Ls1/t-56 in her future ..... In regards to me... I typically am a do-it-myselfer, I do own my own business, but I'm not a sponsor here so I'll leave it at that...I am 30 years old as of the 9th, I'm an old soul, pretty mature. I don't like too much bs, although it does make for entertaining reading from time to time...and I can get long winded I've been into racing for a long time, bikes, cars, and I traditionally build imports, unless I'm going against the preverbial "grain" and wind up putting something into somewhere it doesnt belong... well I'm in Ft. Worth, TX The names Mark Feel Free to give me a shout if any of you guys are remotely close... you know 1hr 1/2 range and maybe we can meet up or something like that. 214-702-2427 shoot if you have it.. Re: New guy from Texas here
greetings from thomastown mississippi. unlike other boards that i am forced to frequent for info, i have yet to run into the 1st snooty person. even with all the multitude of front crossmember & disc brake questions, the people on here keep their cool great & are always forthcoming with info. i am glad they let me hang around & speak up once in a while. cool truck. i have buds in flower mound & justin.

Re: New guy from Texas here
Welcome from Denver. Looks like a solid truck. If I'm not mistaken, spare tire fendered trucks are a bit more rare, too.
