spindles??
Have a 81 scotsdale 1/2t.Are the spindles the same whether it has 1in or 11/12in width rotors.What's the differances.Any body know?Thanks for anything.

NOT the same . measure yours to know what you have . 81's are a very tricky year also. lots of left over 80- older suspension parts on them. there was 1" and 1-1/8". DAVE

They are different. Hollanders gives this info: The 1" thick rotor spindles have a 1-1/4" inner bearing surface diameter. The 1-1/4" thick rotor spindles have a 1-3/8" inner bearing surface diameter. You will have to measure the inner bearing surface diameter to tell the difference. Hollanders shows both spindles were available in 1981 2wd 1/2 ton trucks. I would guess that the 1-1/4" rotors were part of the heavy duty brake option.
