I believe he door handle mount access holes are tear drop shaped on 68-71 door and round on 67 only. Can anyone verify this?

this is correct. 67 also has a reinforcement plate on the back side of the outer panel where the door handle mounts and 68-72 do not.

67 handles are also different inside and out. I posted pics of he differences not that long ago.
