drop spindle with drums?

Is there a spindel out there for drum brakes or do you have to
switch to disc? What disc kit is a straight swap for a 6 bolt?

You need to switch to disc. Several of our forum vendors offer a kit to do this.

Re: drop spindle with drums?

I looked for years for this same thing and nope sure isnt no way to get around a Disc Brake upgrade on the drop spindles.
here is the kit I purchased and this is one hell of a great setup IMO. not one problem and they was great to deal with on the phone.

Re: drop spindle with drums?

Thanks guys that is great! well except the $700 bucks! I thought I could get away with just the airbags for now but you have to use the drop spindle 4 sure. Just bags still leaves a good 4 inches between the tire and fender. Had to put my cut coils back in for now.

Is 2.5 the biggest drop spindle they have ?

Disc brakes should be the first switch anyway on any drum brake vehicle, saftey before cool is my thing.

I assume we are talking about the '67 listed in your signature.
Yes 2.5" drop spindle is the largest drop for the 67-70 disc brake conversion spindles.
They do make a 3" drop spindle for the 73-87 trucks.
