I've been bitten by the 73-74 grille style!

Drove an hour and a half away to pick up a 74 grille, front marker lights and an excellent shape dash pad. Grille needs to be stripped and painted the original silver. The dash pad i'm going to die black. I don't think I did too bad for $50 eh?

You did good! Now all you need is one of the new Top Banana bowties to set that grill off.

That's the plan on the bowtie! I also have a NOS 350 emblem i've had waiting in the wings for quite some time.

You did good! Be sure and grab a grill center support, they're different for 73-74, but you probably knew that.

Still looking for the supports. As the truck the grille and other parts had come from, was long gone.

Top Banana will have these too. They have the center brace now, and the side brackets in the works.

Well the dash pad went from blue to black pretty quickly and was installed even quicker.

Still working on the motivation to scruff the whole grille so I can lay the original argent silver.

When will you have them out for sale ?

I am looking for the grille, emblem, support pieces and brackets, basically everything to go from my current 78 to the 73 style.

Re: I've been bitten by the 73-74 grille style!

Look what I found on Craigslist today... Yes I bought them both.
I did the 73' grill swap on my 77' a few years ago and really like it.

No matter how much I like the idea of a brand new grille. It's probably going to be too expensive. I'm sure you guys have quite a bit of money wrapped up in tooling costs. What is your estimated price per grille? $100-150? I'm also sure some royalties are wrapped up in that grille too due to the cast in bowtie.
