shaving tailgate
Does anyone know of a prefab filler plate for the tailgate. I was thinking of buying a donor gate but didnt really want to spend 100 for one just to cut it up. Thanks for any help.

Re: shaving tailgate
Check LMC. I can't remember if my shaved tg handle kit from them had the filler plate in it or if my bodyman made one.

Re: shaving tailgate
LMC catalog page 85. Looks like the cover is for the entire tailgate, not just the handle. 60 for the stepside, 120 for fleetside. Another 115 for the handle relocator.

Re: shaving tailgate
I got a full skin from www.mar-k.com, but I think I remember seeing a partial piece.

Re: shaving tailgate
I just shaved pretty much my whole truck. I found filler peices for everything except the peice your talking about. I ended up getting a doner tailgate, but you could get the metal and make your own peice. Thats the only two options I can think of

Re: shaving tailgate
lowes sells little pieces of sheet metal. It wouldnt be a perfect fit but you could make a card board template, and then cut that into the metal. You would probly have to leave it a little low and fill it with fiberglass. Thats just what I would do, because I dont have the metal bending skills to make the piece perfect
