Re: Ordered my Pro Filer heads today

Who did you order from? There has been a lot of delay in them being shipped lately. They make damn good power though! What's the specs on the motor? Congrats!

Re: Ordered my Pro Filer heads today

I would contact someone about the cam. It looks a bit small for those unless you just want a cruiser. itll still make good power but those heads can use some more lift and probably a little more duration.

Re: Ordered my Pro Filer heads today

Yeah i know it is small but it is just a cruiser for now. I will upgrade the cam later if I want to get more out of it. Right now it should be over 450 hp/tq which is what im looking for.

Re: Ordered my Pro Filer heads today

Yeah I talked to him the other day and he is debating if we should go with 2.02 or 2.05 valves. He was a real easy person to talk to and pretty cool too

They should make some pretty good power & it's GREAT they're made in the USA. What's the lift & lobe sep. on that cam? What gear are you runnin? I'm interested to see how these heads do.

Re: Ordered my Pro Filer heads today

Almost done just need to bolt up the water pump, distributor, and carb. Sad thing is it will probably be 6 months before I get to crank it up. On a side not we primed it up today and it showed 60 psi steady while just priming it.

Im gonna be running a serpintine belt set up so i got to get it on too.

Re: Ordered my Pro Filer heads today

Well got her running today. Sounded nice with open headers. I will replace these with the new Hedmans after a few heat cycles and some tuning. Here is a crappy cell cam video. There is some water seeping from the studs so I guess we will take them out one at a time and put more thread sealer and then add the gm pellet to seal it all up. I guess youll have to log into facebook to see the video. Ill have to fix that later for you guys without facebook

Re: Ordered my Pro Filer heads today

Wanted to check in and see how the profiler heads have treated you over the last few years? I am in the market and have been researching their sbc line....look like yours were pretty nice out of the box?

Re: Ordered my Pro Filer heads today

Well. I just ran it the initial 20 or so minutes and sealed up the studs a few days later and ran it for another 20 or so minutes. Since then it has not been ran. I will hopefully get it on the road in the next month or two. I have had to kids since then so Family has taken a lot of my time. I will post a vid of the start up and running it around as soon as I get it going. I have complete exhaust on it now and installed a new painless harness. Just waiting on a few small parts. On a side not don't use the reverse water pump from skip white. My mounting flange came of while turning the engine over and chewed up my Copper radiator. The would not help with the radiator or even refund my money for the water pump. I now have a edelbrock.
