What am i missing?

ok heres the rundown,
i want to convert my 63 to 4 wheel disc. i have "pressed on" backplates on my stock axle. i have found a 70 C10, 6lug, 3.07 gears rear end but it is for leaf springs and i have coils.
my question is what else am i missing to complete the swap? i know it wont bolt right in and there will be some modifying and the "new" axle will be about 1.5 inches wider. i want to go pick the rear end up this weekend (assuming i dont get snowed in again...CURSE YOU MISSOURI!!!) but i want to know exactly what i am getting myself into. thanks for your help guys/gals

Re: What am i missing?

Is your question about the brakes or the swap? Or both?

The swap will require a set of angled axle perches same as those on your current axle so you can bolt the axle to the trailing arms. You may have to fab, or get an aftermarket panhard bar, as the locations of the mount on the axle may be different. I believe the shock mounts are the same.

I havent done a rear disc swap, cant help there.

Re: What am i missing?

my main concern is about the axle swap itself. i am assuming i would just order the disc brake kit for the 70 rear axle and 63 front.
so axle perches and a different panhard bar.... sounds easy......a little too easy......
