carrier bearing replacement
can someone plz give me advice on how to properly remove my too piece drive

remove the bolts holding the carrier bearing to the truck & the nuts holding the rear u joint to the rearend. Push it forward to get the rear u joint out of the rearend. then pull it out of the transmission.
Tranny fluid might run out of the tranny so have a rag or pan ready.

I cut off the old bearing with a cutoff tool, then install the bearing with a piece of long PVC pipe and a 2lb hammer, works great and doesnt damage the new bearing.

Also i would mark the 2 pieces with a mark of some kind that way when you put it back together it will be just as you took it off. And make sure all your yokes line up to. i was having trouble with the bearing braking on me so i went to the local driveshaft shop and the guy put a slip yoke on the rear replaced all the other yokes, painted and balanced it all for $175
