another wire question

Ok the kick down for my transmission (TH400) 82 K20 4x4

The kick down is on the gas pedal correct, Its there and has a pink hot wire and on orange wire that becomes hot when I press the gas pedal or activate the switch on the gas pedal. Anyway, The ORANGE wire is not hooked up. Does that wire go to the transmission and hook to the sensor on the transmission, its on the driverside by the linkage. It has been cut, I dont know why but has been, however the switch and such are still active. I think there was a fusable link that was attached to the frewall that was orange but I removed it, it wasnt hooked to anything and it was cut at the fusable link.

Re: another wire question

That's correct. If I recall correctly the pink wire goes to the fuse panel and the orange goes to the transmission.
