Re: what fuel pump

are you using a truck style or the returnless corvette style fuel system? If your using the truck style, you need supply and return lines, and the pump. The reg is built into the rail on that system. If your using the 'vette style, then you need the reg/filter combo, supply line, and the pump.
I'm just using a Walboro/Jegs brand 255lph inline pump, with a matching high flow filter on my truck (with the truck style fuel system)

Re: what fuel pump

I used a Pierburg pump, I got mine from Turnkey motors, rather high, but I claim ignorance on that. You will need LS mounting plates from Dirty Dingo, they are adjustable front to back. Also you will need to think about AC, if you want it or not. If you do, you will need a high mount bracket and a Sanden compressor. Kwick Performance is where to get the bracket.

Re: what fuel pump

i wont be running ac so no bracket needed for that. the mounts are on the list. is there somewhere to get a tranny x member or is it easier to just make one? as far as fuel pump, i want to run just a basic setup. i know i can use a sending unit from a 91 burb or blazer. i know 85 burb had a holley pump but couldnt find a part number in his thread( just skimmed). even tho he is using a carb would you be able to use that setup for a injected system? sorry for all the q guys haha

Re: what fuel pump

I am running a "E2000" fuel pump from ebay, like $40 shipped, stock 6.0 with headers and it does fine. I use the 'vette reg/filter post pump but have a filter pre-pump too.

Re: what fuel pump

there is also no "best gauges". Speedo will need to be electronic instead of cable driven if you are using a 4l80 or 4l60 trans. Stock fuel gauge and temp gauges can be made to work. Trans xmemeber can usually be modified to fit the new tranny, usually by elongating a couple holes and shifting its location.

Why? Granted it depends on the look he wants but I am running stock Speedo with my 4l80e, using the CableX box (which I sale for 'cheap'). But if he wants to change all his gauges then buying a electronic speedo is just as easy.
