eBay Auction
Looks like a halfway decent truck, and the motor sounds solid. a little overpriced though, especially with those wheels

He spent 9,000 on the motor? Where did he use it? For 9,000 I would expect something a little more and whats with them ungly lovers on the back window.

Doesn't look lowered and spending $9K on the engine, it should look it. Don't think its worth the $12K he wants.

That guy got professionally screwed for paying that much for a motor, and it should be show quality, like he said, for as much as he is asking. One of my high school buddies built a motor identical to that one and I think his ballpark range was about $2800.

Nice truck, body wise. I love white trucks. I don't see 12 grand though. If he's got 9 in the engine, it sure don't look it. He needs to take some time to detail the engine bay. He would have a better chance of getting more out of it if he did. What's up with the fuel filter anyway. Got 9 grand in the engine and a cheap arse fram inline filter. Yeah right.
Did you notice the dash? Crack right in the center of the gauge area. Then where did he get that tach? Looks like something you buy from JC Whitney. The wheels have way too much offset to the outside. They don't tuck under the fender wells. Looks like a ricer to me. With as much room as we have in there, he could at least get the correct wheels for it. I could sit here and nitpick all night, but I do know what it costs to build these trucks. It ain't cheap. But from what I can see, it's not worth anywhere near $12,000.00. Although it looks to be in great shape. I can't get over the engine bay. As you all know, I very anal about a neat, clean engine bay. I think I'll pass on it.

not to beat a dead horse, but 9K? I havent even loaded the pics of the engine bay but come on... dart II heads, cool heads but they are the cheapest iron heads that you can buy, the rods probably cost a couple hundred bucks, other than that, i dont see anything special about it.
cheeseball headers? cheap engine dress up (valve covers)? Mallory Unilite distributor (puke).. that truck aint worth no where near 12K.. I dont think Id pay half, even if I _was_ looking to buy. check out the throttle return spring. and the spark plug wires dangling all over the place.. heh, and look how black the inside of the carb is.. either that puppy has caugh fire, or something is seriously out of tune. ok, enough.. -mike |
