Just got this truck from Dad
Hey I just got this truck from my Dad for the incredible price of FREE, I want to bring it back up a bit so it does not scrape and put My Truck Ralls on it. The idea for it is Hot Rod Black with Black Rallys. Any other cool ideas?

Re: Just got this truck from Dad
Nice truck, can't beat free! I don't think you need to bring it back up, just lose the wheels, and put either a bigger rim or higher profile tire on it. If it were me, I'd put some 15" rallys with Radial T/A rubber (higher profile tire) and just drive it.

with the proper profile tire I think it would be at a great height and shouldn't scrape.... I like the patina the truck has!

I like your plans. I would go with rallys as well. You can have a real blast with this one. Lucky guy with a great Dad.

I like the color choice. White walls if you can get some.

Re: Just got this truck from Dad
Welcome to the site! Like some of the others mentioned, find a decent profile tire for your rallys, leave it lowered, hot rod black it, and drive it!

Re: Just got this truck from Dad
Nice "find". Nice of your dad to "donate" it to you, too. Since he "gave" it to you, ask him for some gas money, too. (Hey, it's worth a shot).
Seriously, if you intend to have it all in black, you really need to think about some shiny stuff...like trim rings and caps on those wheels. Black begs for some bling.

Re: Just got this truck from Dad
The Rallys are getting the chrome caps and rings and the mirrors will be chrome as well. I want to build it like a Rat Rod truck but still keep the original cool factor as well.

Re: Just got this truck from Dad
Awesome!
My truck was a gift from my Dad as well! I am sure you will enjoy it, since it looks just about ready to roll as is. Welcome to the board, and if you need a hand I am just off of hwy 79 north in the Murrieta/Temecula area.
