I have a stock height truck and am leaving it that way, I like the way it looks and ive never personally liked how a lowered vehicle drives. A truck is a truck and should sit higher than a car hahahaha.

I keep wanting to take the block and shackle lift out of my K10 (it was there when I bought it) but I'm lazy, and its nice to be able to roll under it on the creeper.

Nice looking trucks. They would look killer lowered! Just Kidding, I like all of them, lowered or not.

Re: do you have/want to build a stock height thread then looky here (please)
I also like the stock height for these trucks and will be leaving mine as such. I have seen some awesome looking 67-72 Chevy's that were lowered, but it is just not my style.
With this talk of stock height, what is the stock height - how do we measure this? I think my coils have sagged some, but not sure how much new coils and body mounts will change what I already have. Below is a couple of pics of my 1970 with what I believe is stock height. |

Re: do you have/want to build a stock height thread then looky here (please)
I love the look of stock height or a mild lift. No offense, I am not a big fan of the lowered or slammed trucks, and it seems this forum has a majority of them You don't see them very often here in MT because they would be worthless in the snow and not much use for hauling heavy loads. I imagine most are built for dd in nice weather or summer weekends. Here are pics of my 72 and my fathers 71.

Here's mine. Oddly enough, stock stance is fairly low. Leaf springs BTW.

Re: do you have/want to build a stock height thread then looky here (please)
nevermind.
Great thread, Rick. here's mine. I've thought about maybe doing like a 2/4 drop, but I don't know for sure because I will be using mine as a truck. I don't like the "slammed" look myself, but to each his own.
