77-80 center caps
has anyone found a place where you can find the original center caps for 77-80 trucks? Because i have the 81-87 gmc centers and i would love to have the 77-80 gm centers. i have found one, but its in rough shape. Ebay has no NOS ones either. so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: 77-80 center caps
only difference I can tell is that the older ones look a little taller(stick out farther) but that might just be me

Re: 77-80 center caps
Post a picture of the one you have. I'm not quite clear on how they are different.

Re: 77-80 center caps
The first design is smoother than the normal Rally cap . It also bolts on from the rear of the wheel so the bolts are hidden . You have to remove the wheel to unbolt the cap . You can see it in this pic but it is a little vague. The caps are on the factory 15x7 Rallys and the tires are Belted T/A's that look new but are about 30 years old. The reason they are still all attached and in good condition is because these tires and wheels have not been dismounted in over 30 years. The center cone is also smaller in diameter. Both of my 77 short beds have these caps on them . They changed the cap in late 77 or 78.

Re: 77-80 center caps
I never knew there was a different set of centers. I like the looks of the older model caps. Now I have another part to add to the list.
