the '72 seem's like a good price, the '73 is pretty rough.

Tough to say how much they'd be listed for out here. People on the west coast do a lot of drugs.

The 67-72's are getting high round here....but the mid 70's LWB step would be alot cheaper.

Re: Just goes to show how nice you southern/western guys got it..

On the flip side, I had a completely rust free '87 that I could barely give the parts away. Like real estate, it's location, location, location.

Re: Just goes to show how nice you southern/western guys got it..

I know. I had it posted for what I thought was a steal, but I guess not. Most of what I didn't use has found new homes thanks to Austin Craigslist, though. Only the bed is left.

Re: Just goes to show how nice you southern/western guys got it..

I was surprised it didn't sell. I know we are jaded here, but that was a super clean truck. It made me wish I had time, room, and the energy to build another one.

Re: Just goes to show how nice you southern/western guys got it..

the statement about "west" isn't totally acurate.while we don't have road salt.we do have more rain than most of the country on the western slopes of the cascades in washington and oregon it's referered to as americas "rain forest".roads stay wet for months and undercarriages and the panel pockets that rust from salt will rust in the same spots for a different reason. they never dry.so,while much of the west stays somewhat rust free we pacific nortwesterners can feel your pain of the fight against rust.

Re: Just goes to show how nice you southern/western guys got it..

I looked at so many rustbucket 64-66 'burbs in southern and central CA before I bought my R30...

My truck was an AZ truck as far as I can tell. Its completely rust free, but the rubber and wiring is all fried from the heat.

Always something... Pick your poison I guess!
