Door sill idea

I'VE FOUND THAT YOU CAN USE 67-72 DOOR SILLS ON A 73-91 BLAZER, IT JUST TAKE A LITTLE MASAGING WITH A RUBBER DEAD BLOW MALLET. FIRST YOU PUT IN THE CENTER SCREWS (YOU MAY HAVE TO DRILL NEW HOLES & THE OLD ONES WELD UP EASILY) & BEND THE ENDS IN THE RIGHT POSITION, & BEAT IN PLACE WITH A RUBBER MALLET. (I PAINTED MINE BLACK CAUSE IT'S A MILTARY CUCV BLAZER... NO SHINY STUFF) THEY LOOK 100 TIMES BETTER & ARE A VAST IPROVEMENT OVER THE FACTORY CHEASY ALUMINUM ONES. HERES A COUPLE OF PICS. JOHN

Re: Door sill idea

Looks better than the stock aluminum sills, in my estimation.

Where did you get your 67 to 72 sills?

I'VE BEEN DOING 67-72 TRUCKS FOR A LONG LONG TIME & HAD EM IN THE SHOP, BUT NEW REPOP ONES ARE ONLY ABOUT $22 A PAIR, OR LOOK ON THE 67-72 PARTS SECTION OF THIS BOARD & I'LL BET YOU CAN FIND A GOOD USED SET. THEY'RE CHROME, BUT I PAINTED MINE FLAT BLACK BECAUSE THIS IS ON MY OLD CUCV MILITARY BLAZER... NO SHINY STUFF ON THAT. JOHN
