New From Denver!

Hey guys, my name is Rudy and I'm a 20 year old mechanical engineering student at CU. I just picked up a 1970 C10 2wd stepside a couple of weeks ago. This is my first venture into trucks. My previous projects included a K20z1 (w/6 speed) swapped '92 civic that ran 12's N/A at sea level. I've got another swapped civic that i drive every day, but i'm bored of working on imports so i decided why not build something else. So far i've got the 250lb plate that was welded in as a bed floor taken out, as well as the original rotten wood floor. Last weekend i removed the tired old 350 and 465 transmission. It'll be getting replaced with a fresh 350 w/ edelbrock manifold, holly 4bbl, nice set of headers, etc. I'll also be converting to disc brakes and dropping it. I've named it Lady Bird from the one and only pet of Hank Hill lol.

Hope to learn some fun tricks and i've loved checking out all the threads of your guys' trucks. They look great! Thanks for havin me.

Rudy

Re: New From Denver!

Thanks guys! It is a SB. I don't believe step sides came in a LB. I'll definitely keep an eye out for the G2G's!

Hey JohnOStuff, things i'm searching for at the moment are a transmission x member for an automatic (throwing an auto in for the time being instead of the 465), good steering column, bench seat, and a set of decent headers for a 350. If you have any of those things sitting around shoot me a pm!

Welcome to the board. And yes you could get a step side in a 6 1/2', 8' and 9' beds. I think the 9 footer was a one ton deal.
