Re: 1970 GMC high hump

Are you cutting up the cab? If so, could you cut around it about 2" around the whole way to capture the mounting nuts under the floor?

Re: 1970 GMC high hump

Sent you a pm on the 7th....and noted here in this thread....you've been on here since. In your other ad you stated surface rust only...it's missing a section of the flange in the top right corner. Let me know how you will take care of this....

I advertised a 1970 high hump for sale with a picture.
I googled high hump and searched LMC Truck for a new high hump for sale and could not find one,can you?
It is a 1970 gmc ( that is 41 years old) what do you want?
If you can't do any fabrication why are you buying 41 year old truck parts??

Well, you posted in your other ad (which I can post here if you like) that it had surface rust only. That is a LIE. I CAN fabricate a new flange....but then I would be paying too much including my time to fix a part I wasn't supposed to have to. Since you sold yours two others in perfect condition have sold for the same/similar shipped price. I will be filing a paypal claim unless you make this right.

Re: 1970 GMC high hump

If he already had it out as stated he knew it needed the repair. For some of us who have metal working skills and tools it is a minor thing if we know this and are buying a cheap part we know we can repair. For others it is a big deal. there are lots of members here who own trucks but do not restore them.If a part has damage and needs repair it should be noted in the listing to be fair to the buyer.

I did not sell two others , it is the same piece.
I have had trouble getting paid for several months so I re-listed the high hump
I only parted out one truck.
I never said it was rusty or perfect just high hump for sale for $30.00+ shipping

Either I can send it back to you at your expense and get a full refund or if you refund $20 I will keep it and fix it or sell to someone else to fix it.

I mentioned the other two that sold because they sold for a similar price but were perfect needing nothing. I would not have paid $40 for this one in the condition it is in.

This is the very reason every transaction here is out in the open for eveyone to see & learn how different people act when dealing with each other. This is a hobby for truck enthusists (sp?) to gather, trade or sell extra parts & generally help each other in a way that only us old truck lovers would understand. If someone acts poorly (& i'm not pointing any fingers here) everyone will learn from other peoples experiances, & won't deal with that person in the future. "ya reap what ya sow" is never more true in this close knit old truck family of our's. Bravo for being a stand up guy.... Now... Back up your word by making it right. John
