86 C10 with a rear axle flip what shocks??
Got some axle saddles and moved the axle on top of the leaf springs. How do you determine what shock to go with? I thought about loading the bed down till it bottoms and measure the mount to mount and then at ride height add maybe 3 " to get a range? Any ideas? Plain old Monroe's or similar, nothing high $

I always run a set of shock extenders.
Not only do they allow you to use stock shocks with your flip kit,... they also help correct the shock angle. If you don't have a set,... I highly recommend them. PerformanceOnline sells them for $49.99. (part#RSE7387)

Re: 86 C10 with a rear axle flip what shocks??
LMC sells alot of stuff that isn't necessarily the best option. Bell Tech, Western Chassis, & McGauhys I believe include them w/their kits. As Lolife mentioned, a shorter shock doesn't correct the working angle; the shock mount extender does.
