4L60E Transfercase Options
I can't find a definitive answer.
I am in the process of swapping in a 5.3 to my 85 GMC 4x4 I would like to use a newer 4l60e or 4l65e adapted to NP208. From what I read I can use the Advance Adapters http://www.advanceadapters.com/products/pn-50-0405e/ to go from the 4 bolt to 6 bolt. Or to use the older 4l60e From the pictures i find it looks like if i find a 4x4 4l60e transmission with the original tailshaft housing it "could" fit my 208. Here are a few pictures of tailshafts http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=421947 So to the point is the only option for me is to go with an early 4l60e or the AA adapter? |
